The Jaquiéry Family Crest and Motto

Jaquiery Family Crest

The Jaquiery Family Crest originates in Switzerland and was first used in England in 1755 by Jean Elie Jaquiéry.

As used by Jean Elie, it was a blue Chippendale style Coat of Arms decorated with roses with silver leaves and stems which are accompanied by two stars, surrounded by flowers and stamped with a pattern of blue and gold, the crest bearing three silver feathers above. Under the Coat of Arms there is a Banderole (or scroll) bearing the motto: "UBI AMOR, IBI FIDES", translated variously as "Where there is love there is faith", or "Where there is love there is faithfulness".
